Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser

As from 1st. January 2000, it became a legal obligation for ALL companies that transported OR handled dangerous goods as part of a loading operation, to employ the services of a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA). It is the role of the DGSA to supervise, monitor and advise companies on all aspects of dangerous goods for transport. The areas included are packaging, (inners, outers, tanks, tank containers, IBCs, etc.), labelling of packages, documentation, vehicle specification, (including safety and clean up equipment and placarding), mixed loading, handling of goods, emergency clean up of spills, training requirements. This list is not exhaustive. In addition, the DGSA is also responsible for accident and incident investigation and producing reports, which may be required by the HSE. Our qualified advisors can be contacted by e-mail or phone on a 24-hour, 7-day week basis if required.
